PRE-ASSEMBLED SCREW AND WASHER COMBINATIONS  

A SEMS assembly is typically a combination of both a screw and a washer or multiple washers.  This component represents both a cost savings and virtually error-free assembly.  Inventory control is facilitated by order and receiving only one part, and assembly time is enhanced by fewer errors and inspection time.

SEMS assemblies can be manufactured with different materials for both the screw and washer.  SEMS assemblies are most effective when used in compression applications where loosening is a problem, in locking applications where vibration and "backout" rotation is of concern, and spanning or protecting applications where greater bearing surface is required.
